About The place

A “piece of paradise” loved by discerning clientele This is how Chris (the owner) describes his place, we agree. Ambalama Bali Villa has been designed by an internationally renowned architect, surrounded by a wonderful tranquil setting, just metres from the beach. The main pavilion has spectacular 360-degree views of ocean, rice paddy and distant mountains leading on to a large sun terrace and 25-metre infinity swimming pool.
All the rooms are private and spacious, with their own private outside space and bathroom. All have air conditioning so you can escape the heat to sleep. Put simply they are divine. There are 4 totally separate villa, and one room adjacent to the main area, still very private. The word Ambalama refers to a simple structure, often with a thatched roof and pillars, that serves as a resting place for travellers. A place for communities to rest, socialise, and exchange ideas - perfect for our gathering. It is close to Seminyak, but far enough away to be peaceful. 5 star luxury at its best. Can we use mobile phones and Wi Fi?
Yes, however we recommend you keep your phones in your room, this is your time to stop and just be. We will give you the WhatsApp contact for any emergencies, and you won’t be more than a few hours away from your room.
What if I have medical conditions?

Why is this in Bali, is it safe?
Bali is a special place, it has a vibrant and rich culture, with a combination of Buddhist and Hindu religions, a refreshing change from our busy western lives. Safety for tourists is important to the locals and government and we have never felt unsafe. Yes it can be very busy in places, and in those places, people often want to sell you something. There is fun in the art of bartering and a polite no thank you is well received. Our experience of the people has only been positive. We fell in love with Bali the first time we visited, and have returned regularly. So much variety, a great place for a digital detox, and rejuvenation, yet WiFi almost everywhere. The food and service are top notch.
What happens if I need to cancel?

Should I get any shots before I go?
Travel advice can include issues around rabies, dengue fever, and hepatitis A. We suggest you talk to a health professional. We always drink bottled water, don’t touch animals (even the monkeys), and are mindful of mosquitoes. We are vaccinated for Hepatitis A.
Why do you use Ambalama Villa?
We spent a lot of time looking across Bali for the right place. After a week of looking we became disheartened. Then by chance we discovered Ambalama, and dealing with Chris the owner has been a dream. We are blessed to have the perfect place for us to gather.
Can you cater for my dietary requirements
Yes, just make sure you advise us well in advance.
Why do we start so early?
Most likely, there is at least a two-hour difference between your home and Bali. Your body is still adjusted to the earlier time, which is why many people find they're more focussed and productive in the morning, and more relaxed as the day goes on.
Do I need a visa?
